2010 June Sprints Podium

Bill McLaughlin Jr was consitently within the top 5 quick time at the 2010 June Sprints held at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. On Friday qualifying session, he managed to lock himself in the P5 spot. As they were able to re-qualify and better their times on Saturday's qualifying session, almost everyone seemed to better their time. This kept Bill McLaughlin still sitting P5 to start the race.

On Sunday, the track conditions had changed dramatically compared to the previous qualifying session. Instead of hot dry weather, it was then mild and wet. McLaughlin getting a run on the green flag lap worked his way up to 4th before the first corner. Soon into the race he made his way to 3rd position. With 2 laps to go and the rain coming down hard he made a move for 2nd place and held his line. Taking over the position, 3rd place lost control of his car and spun. With Nicky Coello finishing 1st place at his home track and Bill McLaughlin finishing 2nd, the Ralph Firman race cars made an outstanding impression.

It has been my goal in life to pursue a career in Motorsports as a Professional Race Driver, this site will enable my fans, family and friends to follow my path into professional open wheel racing. I started racing at the age of three, all I have ever known was the need for speed. Open wheel racing has always held an attraction for me, my hero' s have always been men and women that climb into a carbon tub and attempt to push the envelope just a little further. The skill and condition required to compete at this level is just amazing.



I have had both great accomplishments and great failures in my quest to achieve my goal. I can honestly say that the failures although hard to swallow have been the best lessons learned. When I stop learning from the set backs is when I will hang up my helmet and start living in the glory days.



I started McLaughlin Motorsports in 2007 when I first got involved in formula car racing, it has been a labor of love thus far. The Motorsports group offers Arrive and Drive Opportunities, Driving Instruction, Transportation, Pre and Post Maintenance on your race vehicle, Storage, Pit Rental and Hospitality Tents.
